Tasty Tuesday

Since recipes are one of my favorite things to blog about, I'm attempting to come up with a gimicky naming convention to help keep me on track with posting regular recipes. It's one of the easier things for me to blog about too, because I love to cook, and I cook almost every day. I won't do anything during the week that requires more than half and hour or less to prepare so I have plenty of advice to share; at least in this arena.

Yesterday's meal was the perfect example. I call it Easy, Cheesy Lasagna. This is seriously the easiest lasagna that I've ever made. And tasty too. For those of you who doubt your cooking skills, you really have to try hard to mess this up. So here's the recipe:

Easy Cheesy Lasagna

Ingredients

No boil lasagna noodles (Yes it's true! You can make lasagna without boiling the noodles first. These gems can be found where you find all your regular pasta)
1 pound ground beef
Seasonings of your choice (I like dried basil, oregano, and garlic powder)
1 package shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups)
1 container Ricotta cheese (you can use whole milk or part skim; I use part skim)
1 jar pasta sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Meanwhile, in a large pan, brown the meat over medium to high heat. After meat is browned lower the heat and add the jar of pasta sauce. Let warm for about 4 minutes. In a 9X11 pan, spread 1/2 the meat sauce mixture. Layer 4 noodles. Spread Ricotta cheese on noodles, then top with 1/2 the cheese. Sprinkle with seasonings. Repeat. After you are finished with your layers, place in oven for 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Yummy! I'm adding this to our list! Wonder if it's cheaper than buying one? My girls love lasagna so I usually buy one out of the freezer section (Stouffer's) pretty often. Thanks for the recipe! :)
