Little Boy Room

I was determined not to have "second child syndrome." I wanted to give just as much focus on the room, the registry, the clothes, and nesting in general to unborn Caleb as I did for unborn Savannah. However during this pregnancy, we have moved, prepared a "big girl" room for Savannah, switched daycares, unpacked, traveled, and will travel some more. It it our busy lives, or "second child syndrome" that has caused me to put off the baby room prep until now?

I guess the jury's out.

By the time I was 23 weeks pregnant, we had Savannah's room practically done. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant with Caleb and have just now started. I still want to post pics of the new house and of Savannah's "big girl" room, but I don't feel either are blog-worthy quite yet. BUT, I did do something special for Caleb that I didn't do for Savannah...that counts for something, right?

Not always the crafty mama, I was determined to make something for Caleb's room. I decided on the almost too traditional letters above the crib. We were going for an argyle themed room. Instead of buying the matching bedding, we threw somethings together that we already had which (if I do say so myself) turned out nicely. We thought about painting a wall argyle, but got overwhelmed by the idea, so I settled on painting some canvases with blue and brown argyle and topping them off with painted letters. Here are a couple of pics. Not to bad for a not-so-crafty mama!
