My Landscaping Fairy

When we moved into our current house, we were in a hurry.  We moved from an older home and were thrilled to be in a brand new home where we could leave the first footprint.  (Hopefully) no more leaky copper faucets, no more dingy flooring, no more constant list of upgrades we need/should/want to do.  However, the home we bought had just the basics; no hardwood floor, granite countertops, or fancy landscaping.  While we want to do all those things, the landscaping is the first impression.  I've tried my hand at do-it-yourself-landscaping and failed miserably.  After many attempts at getting a landscaper to give me the time of day, I found the perfect guy for the job.  Within an hour of talking to me, he was scoping out the house with a plan in mind.  At 8:00 AM sharp the next morning, a truck was there and they were done before I got home from work!  Talk about service!  Since getting such quick, hassle-free service (not to mention the lawn looks stellar!) I have deemed him "my landscaping fairy."  I had no idea what they were doing to do, so coming home to a lawn full of color was fun.  Below are some before and after photos (LOVE before and after blog photos and hope to do more of them!).  If you like what you see and are in the greater Memphis area, contact me and I'll be happy to give you his info.

BEFORE

Front right of the house.  Pretty drab huh?
 Front by the door.
 The "garden" area before.
Very front of house before.  Blah, blah and blah.

AFTER

Front of house after.  Spiral evergreens, pots chock full of color, and juniper.
Side shot after.  The purple is Creeping Phlox and the big maroon blooms are Rhododendron.
I love what they did here.  Little flower bed full of different annuals.  Easy to change out each year.
Wider shot.  The Knock-Out roses look much better that the shrubs there before.  Those babies are idiot-proof as far as maintenance and they are going to get more full and gorgeous every year!
Cool thing they did on the side yard.  Instead of wasting all the shrubs they took up, they moved them to the side yard to create something interesting.  Oh and added a gorgeous Japanese Maple and some azaleas.
Even the kids love it!  They have loved helping me water the pots out front!

It looks great! We are such do-it-yourselfers, but sometimes it is SO nice to come home from work and have something be done without having to do any work!

Wow, you're right. The before and after photos certainly show how much difference the landscaping crew did. It looks a lot more lush and vibrant. I'm happy you found your landscaping fairy.
