Confessions

I've decided to make this a regular feature on my blog. It's actually quite hilarious when I think of all the things I should confess too, but I think it's important to be open about everything we go through as mothers....then again, maybe I'm the only one...

I have tasted breastmilk - Yes, yes I can't believe it, but it's true. I said I'd never do it...I think it's gross personally, but I kind of did it without thinking. We started giving Savannah a pumped bottle every day almost right away so she would get used to it. I started thinking the flow was too slow for her so I tested it out myself to see how much would actually come out. It was too late before I realized what I had done. It was kind of sweet.

I actually enjoyed my time at home by myself yesterday - I mentioned in my previous post that I had changed my hours from 7-4 giving me some time to exercise and get dinner ready before Tim and Savannah get home. I hate to admit it but it was actually kind of nice to put my earbuds in and tune out the world for half an hour. Then we I got in from my run, I cranked up iTunes while I cooked. I think most of us, working or not, kids or not, need at least a few minutes to unwind to stay sane.

My dog licks my child - Oh yes, it's inevitable. I've stopped trying to make him stop. He just loves her so much. I take that back, sometimes it gets out of control and I do try and stop the madness. But it's kind of sweet to know that good ole Banjo is loving and protecting his flock. (Banjo's a sheep/herding dog and I'm pretty sure he regards Savannah as one of his "sheep."). So with that being said I'll leave you with this picture a friend sent me yesterday.
