Please Consider Helping the Millington Flood Victims

Hello Friends -

As many of you know, the Millington, TN area which is part of the Memphis metro area, took a major hit when the storm system went through a large part of Tennessee this past weekend. A large part of the suburb was devastated by major flooding, leaving victims with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Some of you may know, my dad preaches at Millington Church of Christ. Luckily, their church building is still intact, but about 10 families who are members there have lost everything. In Memphis (for the most part) you are not required to carry flood insurance, so all of these impacted families are having to pay for their losses out of pocket. The average cost for each family is about $40,000.

The church at Millington has started a fund to support these families financially. 100% of the proceeds collected will go to these families - the church is merely acting as a catalyst to help make this happen. If the financial needs of all 10 families are met, any excess money will go to the other affected areas of the community.
