How Savannah and Tim spent Thanksgiving....so pitiful
Thanksgiving picture at the Corum houshold and Caleb's first outing
Thanksgiving this year was not all that I imagined it would be. Not that I had high hopes because after all...it was only last week that I gave birth! However I was looking forward to getting out of the house with both my kids and my husband and driving a few minutes to my parents house for Thanksgiving. Well, if you read my last post, you know that the Conkin house has not been germ free. Tim ended up getting the bug and V was not totally well, so we decided that they should stay home and be pitiful together for Thanksgiving. At exactly this time last year, Savannah was just getting over a stomach bug but we took her to Thankgiving dinner and almost every single member of my extended family got violently ill and of course it was blamed on us! I was not going to get blamed this year, plus of course we wanted everyone to stay well! Although I was sad that my hubby and daughter had to stay behind, I have to admit it was nice to get a little break from both kids and get out of the house. And even though it wasn't exactly what I had in mind, I still have so much to be thankful for....
1. That I'm not pregnant anymore!
2. Oh and that I now have the cutest little boy in the world
3. A husband who loves me and his family and shows it in every way
4. Two happy, healthy kids
5. The best family I could ask for
6. Awesome in-laws too! (also continuing to adding another wonderful sibling-in-law to my growing list in 2011!)
There's so much more, but those are at the top of my list!
Man, though it's only week 2 of maternity leave, somehow my days are filling up! Next week starts sleep training boot camp! This mommy needs to have a baby boy who sleeps through the night by the time I go back to work, but I have faith in my lil C...we're already off to a good start!
