Hello my name is Heather and I have two under two.
But lately my newborn has been a breeze compared to my toddler.
All Caleb does is coo, poop, sleep and cry (sometimes - thank GOD!).
Don't get me wrong. Savannah is at such a fun age. And she REALLY IS a great little girl. Her vocabulary seems to grow exponentially each day. She makes us laugh. She is able to be more involved in family activities. Don't even get me started on how excited I am about seeing her reaction Christmas morning this year.
But oh the tantrums.
Sometimes she will do exactly what I say with the sweetest little attitude. But then it's like she'll just turn on me and explode if I just look at her the wrong way. I'm trying to remain consistent, stay calm, and discipline her in the way in which Tim and I have decided. I think we are staying the course, but sometimes I feel like I'm not able to keep the attitude and the tantrums under control.
Is it just me?
What have you guys done that you've found effective when dealing with a bad attitude, tantrums, or disobedience....or all of the above?
Does it get better?
I think another upcoming post is going to be tidbits of parenting advice from my mom. I'm lucky enough to have a mom who I can go to at any time and ask for advice about anything. Not to mention she actually gives good advice. In fact when it comes to questions of discipline and/or coping with your toddler/baby it works 99% of the time. Not to mention she's the baby whisperer...stay tuned for that one.
In the meantime, please let me in on any of your secrets!

Oh, the tantrums!! I'm confident that Lee, Ella, and I could join your Sing-Off Group "The Tempo Tantrums" with no problems! I think that E is practicing her terrible twos way too early! Maybe this means they will be over sooner???? Here's to hoping and praying that my newborn will be easier too! Good luck and if you find anything that works, let me know!
