Heeelllooo friends! While I'm realistic and don't expect myself to post every week, it's not typical of me to let a couple of months go by! BUT, I do think I have a fair excuse. Between the last post, we have close on our hold house, moved into a new one, unpacked, prepared a big girl room, started a little boy room, hosted a wedding shower, not to mention the daily grind of working full time and being parents! I will plan on posting some pics of the new house soon, but that would require me to take pictures first.
While some of you may find this silly, I want to share something with you that has literally changed my life! Maybe that's a bit dramatic, but it has certainly changed my nights.
It's a pillow.
I've always had neck and shoulder tension, but I HATE spending money on things like fancy pillows. When my brother in law and his fiance were in town a couple of weeks ago for their couples shower, I snagged his tempurpedic pillow for a couple of hours during an early morning snooze. Those were the best 2 hours of sleep I'd had in a long time. Being pregnant certainly doesn't make sleeping comfortable any easier.
So I had to have this pillow.
While I was on my search, I found that the tempurpedic pillow costs around $100!! Ouch. I have enough trouble spending more than $10 on a pillow. So I found a comparable one at Target for only $17.99. I thought it was worth giving it a shot....and man I'm glad I did! Spending a little extra money on a pillow that supports your spine properly is definitely worth it. I'm glad I didn't spring for the more expensive one. I think the main difference is that the Tempurpedic is temperature controlled, whereas the target brand is not.

I know you wanted to hear all about spine support. House pics to come!

I had the same experience with my sister-in-law came to visit and brought her pillow. And I ran to Target and bought two - one for me and one for Nick. Although now when Ruthie climbs in bed with Mommy and Daddy she takes mine, leaving me with the flat ones. :( But yes, I love mine!
